Christian Responsibility

Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.” (St. Matthew 25:40)

At Holy Comforter, we believe that outreach is an integral part of living a fully Christian life. Our Christian Responsibility Committee acts as a conduit for discovering Christ in all our daily lives, by being the “hands of Jesus” in Lutherville and throughout our world.

The Christian Responsibility Committee works to share the Gospel by:

• Encouraging parish participation in ministry opportunities
• Managing the Benevolences budget
• Working towards realizing the Millennium Development Goals
• Developing awareness that the Earth is God’s gift to humanity and needs to be preserved
• Proclaiming the Good News in the Holy Comforter community by helping each of us put our faith into action

“But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. For if any are hearers of the word and not doers, they are like those who look at themselves in a mirror; for they look at themselves and, on going away, immediately forget what they were like.” (James 2:22-24)
